Yes. If you meet the income and assets limits to qualify for Medicaid, the program pays for a portion of your monthly premium; Medicare pays for the rest. Individuals who do not qualify for Medicaid are responsible for the portion of the monthly premium Medicaid would pay. PACE program staff can help determine your Medicaid eligibility.
Your cost will depend on your Medicare and Medicaid eligibility:
- If you are eligible for both: There is no out-of-pocket cost.
- If you do not qualify for Medicaid: There is a monthly fee.
Because PACE Southeast Michigan provides and is responsible for all of your care, you may be financially responsible for any care you receive outside the program that is not approved by the PACE Southeast Michigan Interdisciplinary Team (except in an emergency).
