CENTER LINE, MI – PACE Southeast Michigan in Center Line, 25420 Van Dyke Ave., hosted community leaders and organization partners for a grand opening Friday, Oct. 25. This health center for seniors is an exciting milestone for PACE Southeast Michigan as its 10th location, and it showcases the ongoing need for PACE services in Michigan.
“We’re grateful we’ve been able to grow and meet the need we see for PACE in the community,” PACE Southeast Michigan President and CEO Brandon Young said. “Our focus on dignity helps people improve their health and independence and find belonging in our health centers. We hear stories of lives changing every day. I cannot wait to hear the stories that come out of Center Line.”
As an alternative to nursing home care, PACE Southeast Michigan provides comprehensive physical, spiritual and psychosocial services designed to keep aging adults independent in the community. Over 99% of the people served by PACE Southeast Michigan receive their care at no out-of-pocket cost through Medicare and Medicaid.
“There are so many reasons why PACE makes a difference,” said Deborah Youngblood, a PACE SEMI employee of nearly 11 years as a Physical Therapist Assistant and the Rehab Lead at the Center Line location. “I come to work and I know that what we’re doing here helps our seniors stay in their community. I’ve seen a lot of changes and growth at PACE though the years, but the one constant is what we do – provide the all-inclusive care needed to keep our seniors safe.”
Michigan State Rep. Mike McFall (D-Hazel Park) and officials from the City of Center Line participated in the event to express their support, as well.
